St. Mel Year of Hospitality

St. Mel Year of Hospitality

In the late summer of 2018, while announcing the St. Mel Year of Hospitality, Fr. Steve stressed that ours is a parish “where everyone is welcome to have an encounter with Jesus.” And, from the beginning, he made it clear that the easiest way to make that happen is for us – the people of the community – to be Jesus for one another. In our everyday encounters and through “the power of gathering,” we support, we encourage, we pray for, we LOVE one another as Jesus asks us to.

We are happy to have introduced new services, ministries and events this year, while continuing and expanding on beloved existing programs. We consider it a tremendous blessing that the people of the St. Mel family have been so supportive and involved.

We are excited that so much is on the horizon, from the men’s retreat in September to new ministries for women, young adults and more.

Fr. Steve, Fr. Lima, school principal Mary Beth Lutz, preschool director Claudia Powell and the entire staff invite you to learn more about all we have to offer. We encourage you to find opportunities to participate and we welcome your input and ideas for even more.  We want you to encounter Jesus at our Masses, on our campus and among the people of St. Mel!
