    Meeting the Challenge
The families and young people in our community are facing daily challenges brought on by increasing cultural and ethnic diversity, family disintegration, deteriorating neighborhoods, gang violence, an a significant increase in the level of poverty. Guadalupe Center helps these families meet these challenges by providing them with a well-balanced variety of emergency, educational and recreational programs.

At present the center helps approximately 17,000 individuals each year with emergency food and clothing. In addition hundreds of community youngsters (along with their families) are guided toward better futures through various programs such as: English as a Second Language classes, Tutoring, Sports and Recreation, Cultural Arts classes, and the Holiday program.
