Welcome to The St. Mel Parent Volunteer Association,
The Parent Volunteer Association (P.V.A.) exists to provide support for the faculty, classrooms, and staff, oversee the dynamic work force of parent volunteers, and to generate additional monies by planning and hosting fundraising events. At St. Mel, our exuberant volunteers join together to create an enriching environment for both our children and families. Our three main fundraisers for the year are the Halloween Carnival, Jogathon in February, and our Silent Auction Dinner Dance in March*.

All St. Mel families are required to provide 50 hours per school year of volunteer time. Whatever your expertise, time, resources, or business contacts, we welcome your assistance! Your P.V.A. reps and room parent directors are available to help you find your volunteer niche. We encourage you to contact our PVA Chairs and become involved.

We have discovered that volunteering at St. Mel has led to long-lasting friendships, opened our minds to new ways of guiding our children, and filled our hearts with pride for our children and community.
